Subject:
2135QTL-2 – New Tool Installation Procedure
Affected Products:
2135QTL-2
Affected Date Range:
All
Related Issue #:
#1727965
Issue Description:
This TSB describes the installation process.
Actions Required:
When placing the new 2135QTL-2 torque limited impact wrench into service, the following steps must be performed:
- Add approximately 1/4 teaspoon (~1 cc) of Air Tool Oil directly into the tool air inlet prior to use.
- Running a new tool without oil can lead to irregular performance and decreased power.
- 4-5 drops of air tool oil should be added to the tool inlet daily for best performance and durability.
- Air pressure must be set to 90 psi dynamic (measured at the tool air inlet with the tool running at free speed in reverse).
- Due to the method of torque limitation used in the new 2135QTL-2, this is especially important. Air pressures significantly lower than 90 psi dynamic will decrease torque output and free speed, and reduce efficiency.
- The 2135QTL-2 is designed to run with 90 psi of dynamic air pressure -- All performance and durability testing was performed at this pressure.
- See video linked below for demonstration of setting dynamic air pressure.
