Using the new QX Connect Tools across all software/controller platforms

Objective

Outline the necessary requirements to use QX Connect Tools with our various software/controller platforms.

Environment

All users of the new QX Connect Tools

Procedure

There are 4 different platforms that can be used to program the new QX Connect Tools:

• Legacy ICS/PCM

If using with legacy ICS and PCMs, the user must use ICS Package 1.4.15 or greater.  Do not use ICS to update the tool firmware.

Note:  If Disable Reverse is necessary for your Configuration/Pset, use the App or QCX/MTC controller to program the Disable Reverse parameter.  If Disable Reverse is selected through ICS, the tool will fault with a C-21 error.

• QCX Controller

If using QX Connect with a QCX controller, the application must be 2.0.27 or greater.  Ignore any version mismatch messages displayed on the controller.  Do not use the controller to update the tool firmware.

• MTC controller

If using an MTC controller, all versions of the MTC controller 100.1.0.0 or greater include firmware for QX Connect tools. You can use the controller to update the tools to the compatible version.

• Insight Connect App

QX Connect Tools can be used with the Insight Connect App 3.0 or greater.
