All new display assemblies will be loaded with firmware version 120.x.x.x. This version is compatible with ICS (Package 1.4.15 or greater), QCX (2.0.27 or greater), MTC (100.1.0 or greater) and the Insight Connect App (3.0 or greater).
1. If the current MCE version on the tool is 2.x.x.x, 2.5.x.x or 3.x.x.x use the INSIGHTqx APP (Version 3.xx for Android or 1.xx for iOS), or QCX or MTC controller to perform a One Image Firmware Update.
Note: If the current MCE version is 1.x.x.x you will have to connect a display module with legacy firmware 4.3.x.x to the tool. Then using ICS 6.3.4.x, update the MCE firmware. Once the MCE is updated, connect the new display module to the tool and follow the steps above.
All new MCE boards will be loaded with firmware 3.6.0.1. This version is compatible with ICS, QCX, and MTC display versions.
1. For a legacy tool using ICS:
a. Install the new MCE board.
b. Update the MCE firmware using the compatible ICS software.
2. For a legacy tool using a QCX1:1 or MTC controller:
a. Install the new MCE board.
b. Update MCE firmware as recommended after plugging into the controller with a USB cable.
3. For a QX Connect tool using ICS, QCX or MTC:
a. Install the new MCE board.
b. Update the tool using the INSIGHTqx APP (Version 3.xx for Android or 1.xx for iOS), or QCX or MTC controller to perform a One Image Firmware Update.
