Understanding the Speed Display

The G5352 features a six-position speed selector and a “True Speed” LCD display, with a stated speed range of 3,500–8,000 RPM. The LCD shows the maximum RPM for the selected position before startup, helping you identify the setting before beginning work.

Selecting a suitable speed helps match tool performance to the accessory and material. The presentation identifies this control as useful for different metals and non-woven accessories, helping improve results and protect abrasive life.

When selecting a speed:

Check the accessory’s maximum rated speed. The maximum RPM for the selected tool setting must not exceed the accessory’s speed rating.
Confirm accessory suitability. Wheel diameter, wheel type, mounting requirements, and guard configuration also determine compatibility.
Follow the applicable tool and accessory instructions. The displayed RPM helps you select a setting but does not establish accessory compatibility by itself.

Grinding and Cutting Configurations

The G5352 supports 4.5–5-inch wheels and features tool-free guard adjustment and a Type 1 clip-on guard. The presentation describes the clip-on design as allowing transitions between grinding and cutting without removing the base guard.
