Lubricating the Air Motor
Use a properly adjusted inline lubricator or manually lubricate through the inlet.
For manual lubrication:
- Disconnect the air supply.
- Add 10–15 drops of No. 10 Air Tool Oil to the inlet.
- Reconnect safely and run briefly to distribute the oil.
During extended operation without a lubricator, reapply oil approximately hourly.
Lubricating the Impact Mechanism
- Isolate and disconnect the air supply.
- Remove the interchangeable anvil using Changing DXS® Anvils on 2236 Series Air Impact Wrenches.
-
Clean around the exposed grease fitting.
Grease fitting exposed behind the removable DXS anvil on a 2236 air impact wrench. - Apply 4 cm³ of No. 105 grease using a compatible grease gun.
- Reinstall the anvil and verify retention.
Important: Do not substitute a generic pump count for the specified volume; grease-gun output varies.
